This most likely saved the human race, despite his complete ignorance of the fact.

No skills or metallurgical knowledge of bacteria to motivate them, people just hit upon cutlery very likely to accidentally making all the difference between survival and extinction of the human race.

The tradition of using cutlery and crockery was transmitted through generations and is like a second nature for mankind is like breathing.
